House Manager

Yes, I am House Manager at the Carolina Theatre of Durham. That sounds a heck of a lot better than it actually is. I only view it as the next logical step in my night job. The pay is not much better, the hours are longer, and there is only room for failure. I'll take it for what it is and try to make the best of it, I would not take this step if I did not think it would be enjoyable. My new duties seem to be limited to key master and money counter, though I should not scoff at those responsibilities for I hold the keys to a national landmark and the house safe. I suppose I would want more authority and perhaps that will come in due time. For now it appears my role is merely supervisor. But I'll take it. Might as well explore it for all that it is worth.
