Perpetual accuser

In thinking about how famous people routinely receive death threats and how killing is a means of expression in our world, I wondered if everyone - regardless of stature, hermits aside - has someone wishing them ills to the point of their death. The notion seems far different from the guardian angel on one shoulder and temptation on the other, because it requires nothing divine and is a product of humanity.

But people do not actually kill each other routinely, so these thoughts must manifest in different ways. So I dub it the perpetual accuser, for this person would be ready to accuse their mark of all manner of shortcomings and faults. Do we all have such a person or persons in our lives?
