Wet Socks
It rained heavy yesterday. I started the day with a short run to my car. When I arrived at work I did not notice the puddles when I parked. I stepped out of my car into a massive puddle. The water came up over my shoes. I ran several steps before I cleared it. When I got to my desk I knew I had to do something. I pealed off my socks and placed them on a spare chair. They were completely drenched, but my shoes were not that bad off. This reminded me of a paper towel absorbing water, but left me barefoot at my desk until lunchtime when I put my shoes on without the wet socks. That means I was barefoot at work for about 3 hours. I've never done that before and I do not recommend it. I'll surely be more careful the next time it rains.
