Gutters Cleaned

I learned in the winter of 2001 that I was afraid of heights. At the place I worked the manager asked me to hang Christmas lights on top of the building. I looked forward the fun assignment, but froze solid in place at the top of the ladder and could not swing my legs over the top to get on the roof. It was a little humiliating and the men there had great jokes at my expense.

Now that we have a home that is two stories high the gutters are harder to reach. We do not own a ladder that high and my buddy neighbor said he did not either. There are a bunch of trees around the house that provide a nice canopy of shade, but also deposit a nice collection of leaves. Our house came with gutter guards of some variety, but pine needles seem to slip right into those holes and make the mess larger. Fortunately Lisa solicited and received advice from locals for a gutter cleaning service.

Enter the Window Gang! I still think they have a silly name, but it is easy to recall so from that standpoint it works. Anyway, they arrived a day earlier than scheduled. I happened to be home when they got here. They pulled in the driveway, climbed up their ladders, and did their thing. It probably took 20 minutes total. They even left the invoice in the door for us and left without payment. There was no awkward moment where I wonder if I should give a check to a laborer instead of mailing it. Plus, after they cleared the gutters they blew the leaves off the deck and driveway, away from the house. This meant our driveway was cleaner than it has ever been, an unintended benefit.

With more storms on the way we wanted to be sure water could flow undeterred through the gutter system. Since this gutter cleaning went so well I am not afraid of future problems, I know these guys are only a call away.
