Excuse Us

With Lisa out of town the morning routine took a little longer than usual Thursday morning. We arrived at daycare after the normal check-in time and discovered her room was empty. It turned out that the children were together in another room. I realize it was a trio of children whose parents paid for a dancing program (yes, at two years old) performing with parents and the rest of the young ones watching.

I tried to slip in quietly, but upon spotting us one of the performers completely stopped moving and pointed at us yelling over and over "Sonya Buckley is here!" - much to the dismay of her parents who were recording the event. Another of the girls likewise stopped to shout out our arrival. I felt a little twang of guilt for the intrusion upon the performance, but it was a rather funny moment.
