All Time Reds Lineup

A while back I devised an objective measure of time played at positions to craft a lineup for the all-time team for the Yankees, Mets,Padres, and MLB. Now I look at the history of the Reds, the oldest team in professional baseball. Some of the names go all the way back to the 19th century.

Starting lineup:
Catcher = Johnny Bench
1st Baseman = Tony Perez
2nd Baseman = Bid McPhee
3rd Baseman = Heinie Groh
Shortstop = Dave Concepcion
Outfielder = Pete Rose
Outfielder = Vada Pinson
Outfielder = Frank Robinson

Bench:
Catcher = Ernie Lombardi
Corner Infielder = Ted Kluszewski
Middle Infielder = Barry Larkin
Outfielder = Edd Roush
Outfielder = Gus Bell

Rotation:
Starting Pitcher 1 = Eppa Rixey
Starting Pitcher 2 = Paul Derringer
Starting Pitcher 3 = Dolf Luque
Starting Pitcher 4 = Tom Browning
Starting Pitcher 5 = Bucky Walters

Bullpen:
Middle reliever = Tony Mullane
Middle reliever = Joe Nuxhall
Middle reliever = Johnny Vander Meer
Middle reliever = Bob Ewing
Middle reliever = Pete Donohue
Set-Up Man = John Franco
Closer = Danny Graves

Notable exceptions:
Tommy Corcoran, Ken Griffey, Joe Morgan, Adam Dunn, Hal Morris, Eric Davis, Chris Sabo, Mario Soto, Jose Rijo, Tom Seaver.
