2000 Goals
Looking for scrap paper for Sonya to write on I came across a notebook that contains a list of goals, based on the other pages, written in 2000. It numbered 18 and by my count I've done 8 and 2 cannot be done (things for other people that they no longer need). Other than the obvious (get married) or predictable (MBA) some things were surprising; "save someone's life", "make something with wood", "get name in Time magazine", and our favorite, "grow a beard" (not all goals are equal I suppose). I will probably never pursue "take a cruise" or "make a song" (the world hopes), so the most important things on the list I feel I have accomplished. I hope the 2000 version of me would be proud of the 2009 version of me.

Wow, that's like finding a time capsule!! Lauren was just digging through a box of sentimental things from her high school years yesterday...it must be in the air or something.
Not sure I could complete that beard goal now, even...
On the other hand, I'm going on my fourth and fifth cruises this year.
So you have the same number of cruises under your belt as hairs on your chin. Sweet!
