Beach Gifts

On the return trip from the beach we stopped at a shop so that Sonya could pick out a gift for herself and two of her friends. Her selection of shells glued together in the form of turtles surprised me a little, but she liked them very much. She chose one large and one small turtle for herself and assigned a small turtle for her friend.

A few hours later we arrived home. Shortly after unpacking Sonya came to me with a large smile. She told me she changed her mind and the large turtle was for me instead of her. Then she gave Lisa one of the small turtles and indicated the remaining small turtle was a gift for her friend. She opted to give away all of the turtles, leaving none for herself. As far as we could tell, arrived at the thought completely independently. Plus it looked like she really enjoyed giving us the gifts. The moment could not have been sweeter.
