Morning Surprise

I stepped out of the shower and while I dried myself I caught sight of myself in the mirror. Something ran down my leg, something black and the size of a thumbnail. I knew it was a spider and I picked my leg up instinctively to avoid the thing. However, it found the shadow created on the underside of my foot an ideal spot to hide. I swatted it with my towel and for a tense moment lost the spider.  I continued to dry off, but it made the mistake of running through shadows made by my motions and I finally caught the bugger.

I believe the spider found itself on my towel while I was in the shower and that is how it ended up on me when I dried off. Quite a jolt to start the day!
