Larry Yount

Checking out baseball-reference.com's list of players with only one game played, I came across Larry Yount, the older brother of Hall of Fame star Robin Yount. He is the only MLB pitcher with zero IP and no batters faced. In 1971 he entered the game but left with injury before he faced a batter and never made another MLB appearance. A 1989 article from Astros magazine relays the story that ends with an interesting quote by Larry Yount, who worked in real estate: "I've probably made more money than I ever could have in baseball, but I would still love to have had a chance to play longer. It just didn't work out," he said.
