My Matrix Moment

At the end of the film The Matrix, the main character Neo sees through the world around him and perceives the computer code generating the perceived reality. The green imagery is an icon of the movie franchise and the dawn of Neo's awakening defines a critical shift between the first and later films.
At work I sat through a meeting with another manager and 2 respected IT people reviewing the work of a celebrated IT person that retired last year. The code was wrong and produced incorrect data. After about 15 minutes I asserted myself into researching the problem and the IT guy found what I suspected; the second step in the process completely wiped out the first step results. They talked a few minutes then I told him to just move the second part up so it functions first in the sequence. The IT guy loved this solution and I'm not capturing enough details to impress anyone with this blog post, but for at least a few moments I felt like Neo seeing through the code swimming around me.
