Another day, another dollar
OK, so I am still gainfully employed and tomorrow we'll be having meetings about the future of the company. This is good news. I may not be able to recruit anyone in 2005, but if I manage to cling on long enough, I will be recruiting in years ahead - if I have any say in the matter.
I talked to Pete tonight. It's been a while. He sounds in great spirits. I can't imagine being in the military at this time in history. He seems to have his niche carved out there, not on the frontlines and in the boat. That is good for him. It is literally unfathomable for me the number of troops in direct harm's way concurrently throughout the globe. I only know one of them.
We're making final arrangements for our trip to Kansas. I am looking forward to it, especially to see what my father-in-law is like in his old stomping grounds. Should be fun. Uncle Frank sounds like quite a character.
