Double Homocide in the Neighborhood
There was a double homicide in my apartment complex on Wednesday night.
A man went to visit his cousins, who were twins living in a building around the corner from mine. He shot both of them and injured another person in the apartment as well. One of the victims was pregnant and they have thus far been able to keep the baby alive after delivering it via Caesarian delivery. It was two pounds. The parents of the victims came to town to lend support and hope that their prayers can keep alive their grandchild.
Police are literally still trying to figure out the motive in the crime.
When I drove to work Thursday morning there was police tape and police around an entire section of the apartment complex. When Lisa left that morning, there was a WRAL reporter in the complex reporting on the case.

The murderer has been denied bail to date because the prosecution has not decided yet whether they will seek the death penalty - there is no bail for suspects facing the death penalty in this state.
There is still not yet a motive that anyone has - at least in the news reports - provided for why this happened.
