Apologies to Brother Sean

Lisa's classmate has a significant other that plays in a band by the name of Brother Sean. Twice before we had agreed to go see them only to back out the very night of the performance. Once was a snow storm and I don't remember the other night. Anyway, with Lisa out of school and ready to go we set out with the best of intentions. We drove to Chapel Hill and were surprised our friend had a $12 cover charge. I bought a Red Stripe and the barkeep informed us he would not be starting until 10:30 at the earliest. We sat down and drank the beer together a little disappointed we had arrived at 8:30. Somewhere in the conversation alone Lisa turned to me and asked if I knew the performance was so late. I responded that all I knew was Wednesday at the Cave. Her eyes lit up and she exclaimed we were at the Cat's Cradle. Having never been to either I did not even know the difference when we arrived. We scurried to the front door and thankfully received a full refund and directions to the Cave. As we scrambled in the door, Kevin was just unplugging his last cord. I helped him carry his equipment to his car and we had a little to eat afterwards, but we never heard them play. Kevin was nice enought to give me a CD and tell me that he would be back in town in June.

Dave your post made me laugh out loud. Thanks again for helping me carry my equipment to the car, that's the worst part of playing shows. I look forward to seeing you and Lisa on June 11th. Babettes is a really nice place. Let me know what you think of Just Hold Still.
