President Fox strikes again
It is worthy to note that the entire contents of Mexican President Fox's speech were ignored for the single quip about American blacks. Were it not for this remark, his speech would not have been newsworthy. Even though it was deemed so by the mass media, the contents were not reported, merely the inclusion of a racially loaded remark. All media is implicated in this blind eye to immigration and the lack of foresight. Time magazine reported that Hispanic employment in the US increased from 2002 to 2004, but wages actually decreased in that same time period. There is something wrong where an economy can grow and yet pay lower wages. Politicians on the right are in bed with the businessmen that profit from this situation and politicians on the left are in bed with progressives that refuse to even discuss different ethnicities differently. Meanwhile the fat American populace has forgotten about things like unions and labor issues, preferring to soak up cheaply made products in bulk on sale at Walmart. This is not the state of the economy in perpetituity, the fallout from mass immigration at a time when jobs are not being created is a deflation of the consumer juggernaut that is the beating heart of the American economy. Politicians lack the fortitude to properly address it, businessmen seek higher margins and foster it, but media is to blame for making a ten second story out of it instead of properly reporting on the situation in terms that all Americans could understand.
