I am a father

It is official: Lisa is pregnant. Have been for two months. The due date is in late July. We have told our parents and discussed some names.

My first response was shock. Total disbelief. My life has changed. Entirely. For the next two days all I could do was literally giggle at the topic.

Since then I am overjoyed at this. I have looked forward to fatherhood for years. I hope to be ready for it when the child is born. I pray to be a good father. I feel a great hope in me that this is something I was meant to do.

It still occasionally blows my mind that this has come to pass. Everything is different now and will be for the rest of my life.
