Costochondritis Club

When we went to the beach with the circle of friends from Lisa's grad school, someone mentioned having chest problems. She described her symptoms and diagnosis as costochondritis.

I knew exactly what it was because I was diagnosed with it three weeks before. Someone else beat me to the punch and told us he had it a few years ago. There we sat the three of us having a moment of solidarity about our seemingly obscure medical condition. It was bizarre that of the 18 people there, three would share a somewhat rare medical condition for young people, but reassuring that we were each not alone.

So here's to Costochondritis Club!
