Fire and Ice

I travelled to Philadelphia for a three day conference for work. Usually I remain inside all day, but at this conference center I walked between buildings to attend meetings. So it put me outside in the middle of the day for a change. Outside, the weather was beautiful. But the heat made me sweat and long to wear shorts and a tee shirt. Inside was a different matter. The level of heat outside forced the cooling system into overdrive and actually made it very chilly inside. Fire and ice, neither quite comfortable. With all the technology we have amassed, one would think this quirk could be resolved with some fancy thinking or methodology instead of leaving us to tread between these two uncomfortable and clashing climates.
