It's True Value

If one were to call his or her credit card company to dispute a charge levied against her or her account under the listing of "Triangle Pharm TV WC" and misperceive this to be either a pharmacy or television related charge, please take note that this actually comes from the hardware store "True Value" (whose own corporate website lists nothing if one were to search for "pharmacy"; this is the local Triangle True Value, conveniently located across the street from not one, but two, retail pharmacies).

And if one were to call his or her credit card company for assistance figuring out this little idiosyncrasy, please take note that they can offer no more nor no less support that one can read online in his or her credit card statement. Specifically the items one already had in hand and offered at the origins of the call in a futile attempt to expedite the inquiry; the business name, date of purchase, amount, and category (of which True Value is apparently a "variety store", which should arise no suspicions to make anyone worry). The net result of that conversation will be a referral to another department for follow-up within 30 days, but not before a long-winded offer for some unnecessary credit service. That service will be free of charge to try for one month, which only will mean it costs something out of your pocket down the road if you would actually be so foolish as to accept this offer. Fortunately, the inscrutability of the language spoken will make it apparent that there is not a reason in the world to dare to consider it for nary a moment. Of course, expect a brief rebuttal from the long-winded and exacerbated customer service representative who now plays the unbearable role of telemarketer for this unwanted, unwarranted, meaningless, and ultimately valueless service offer. The only means to avoid this rebuttal sequence is to continue asking the telemarketer if he is done talking yet so that you can tell him to stop offering you something you neither need nor want. It can be rather humorous, or rather annoying, which will depend more on your outlook of life in that moment in time.

Thanks to True Value for making life interesting with such peculiarity as so allow innocent people to spend hours on the weekend running through receipts and placing phonecalls to get to the bottom of their confounding riddle. I can think of no better way to spend my weekends.
