Online Activity
OK, so dkbuckley.com just turned a year old. And this here blog has been going strong (off and on) since February of 2005 (*special thanks to the three off and on loyal readers out there*).
I've tinkered with HTML, then made it valid HTML (4.01 Transitional), learned the scoop with CSS, then made it valid CSS, & sprinkled in some hackneyed Javascript. I'm not sure what will be next, but given that I seem to keep going along this trajectory, it's likely to be server-side scripting, like PHP or perhaps something chunkier like Java or Python. That's all a bit off in the distance for the moment, I've barely judged the direction of the wind and need to set course before launching.
This could all be vaulted ahead if a local church picks up my offer to help with its website. Judging from the first e-mail responses, it appears I'd be file update guy and nothing near designing. But something is better than nothing and at the very least it would add experience and satisfy some of my hunger for online tinkering. Or, I could learn something or even a lot from the experience. It should be interesting, whatever happens.
