Lisa's joke

I received a frame for my undergraduate degree from my parents-in-law and promptly hung it on the wall next to Lisa's diploma. A short while thereafter, Lisa called to me that there was something different between the two diplomas, she said hers had some extra words on it. I came running in, excited to learn what manner of arcane deviations there could be among them, believing it a product of our different colleges at the university. Then Lisa pointed out the extra words on her diploma:

"Cum Laude"
