A "no" Day

Sonya woke up yesterday saying "no" gently to herself. It was not until many hours later, in the evening, that we realized she was merely practicing for what would end up a day full of this pronouncement.

It takes some getting used to. At first I foolishly assumed it was a declaration. When offered milk, she says "no" so I offer water or juice. These all get the same "no" as does everything else pointed out in the refrigerator.

The future is now. She is a toddler. Confusing speech, upsets easily, definitely has distinct preferences. So far so good.
