Farm Tour

This past weekend we went on a few tours of local farms. It was the 14th Annual Piedmont Farm Tour co-sponsored by the Carolina Farm Stewards Association and the Weaver Street Market (a co-op grocery store in Carrboro) and we saw three farms over two days; Perry-Winkle Farm, Duck Run Farm, and our favorite Fickle Creek Farm. Unfortunately rain late in the day on Sunday prevented us from getting beyond the cows and the parking lot at the Chapel Hill Cremery. It was a great time, mostly because of Sonya's tremendeous interest in the animals. It was funny to see her excitement turn to fear when in close proximity to them, but you could tell that she enjoyed the experience.
