Black or White?

A couple of weeks ago we ordered a new kitchen table, 2 more chairs, and paid to have them stained along with 4 of our own chairs to match our kitchen. Days before Lisa's parents were to arrive we received the call that TROSA would deliver everything on Saturday afternoon. We were very happy to put away our camping chairs and hand-me-down square table.

When the workers starting bringing in the chairs I peeked out the window. I told Lisa what I saw and she did not believe me. The chairs were stained black and brown instead of white and brown. Everything in our kitchen is white and brown, it clashed very badly. It was a good job, but not for our house. The deliveryman actually thought he was on Candid Camera.

After a call to the furniture store to see if they picked up the wrong set, we learned they just made a mistake. We double-checked our order form and it is spelled out very clearly in print that we wanted white. The furniture went back and out came the camping chairs again.

Needless to say I was sorely disappointed and a bit angry. I know we will work it out, but it would have been better to have our parents sitting in regular chairs in our kitchen while they visited. Judging from the incorrect work, it looks like they produce very good stuff so we will have to wait until this situation resolves.
