Aquarium

We drove to the coast this past weekend to visit the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Yes, it was a couple of hours, but it was worth the drive to see Sonya's expressions at the fish we saw. We've never seen her so excited, jumping up and down with near hysterical laughter, and this was only a few days after Christmas. She ran to each exhibit. We saw alligators, an octopus, jellyfish, sharks, and eels. We sat through a demonstration of jellyfish that was a little too much for Sonya, but the older kids loved it. It was worth seeing once, but we will probably not go again unless we are in the immediate area. However, it makes us want to take Sonya to aquariums whenever we travel next.
On the drive home we ate at a back alley place in Wilmington that we accidentally found. It was a Mongolian wok grill called Flaming Amy's Bowls. All you can eat bowls, select your own ingredients, and barely any wait time at all. I enjoyed it very much.
