Sibling Comparisons
Why delay the inevitable, time to size them up against each other at 4 months old.
Dylan is larger and more evenly proportioned; Sonya was tiny with a large head. However, she had stronger arms and was better at lifting her head up from the ground. His legs are definitely stronger and he's more interested in being held upright than laying down - so that he can feel like he is walking I suppose.
They both have dimples and great smiles, but Sonya was born with a rich head of hair that grew and grew and grew; Dylan was more like most babies with a meager bit of hair that almost all fell out. Both had dark hair at birth, but very light hair replaced it. Both should have darker hair when they get older.
Dylan chomps on his fingers; Sonya was pacifier-dependent.
Dylan loves to be around people but stays very quiet; Sonya was not loud, but hardly this peaceful to be around.
Most importantly, Dylan took to his crib rather well; Sonya fussed every single time she was placed in the crib - no matter how asleep she was she would bolt awake and cry when lowered into it. So we definitely sleep better this time around. He's also easier to console when he cries than she was, not that she was that bad, he simply has a great temperament (hopefully I have not jinxed us).
Sonya had eczema for a long time, which was not fun and required a lot of cream in a lot of places; Dylan has nice skin but has a harder time with cradle cap. He's also capable of a much more productive diaper.

"He's also capable of a much more productive diaper."
Very elegantly stated. Quite possibly the nicest way to put it :-)
